It is with great pleasure to have Ms. Caridad Pineiro visit my blog and talk about her latest novel, ‘To Love And To Serve’. Read on for a PGRB Exclusive!
Thank you so much for letting me visit with you to chat about my latest paranormal romantic suspense release, TO LOVE AND SERVE.
I’m excited about sharing a fabulous and emotional romance between FBI Agent Diana Reyes and Southern vampire Ryder Latimer. There is so much happening between them as they deal with the difficult decision of choosing a normal life for Diana, who is dying, or choosing an undead life with all that it means to be a vampire.
I’m also excited to be sharing with you a city that I love and that is always surprising me: New York City.
I go there every weekday since I still have my full-time job in Manhattan. I go there often on weekends since my family loves to go to Broadway and to explore the city with all its different neighborhoods and all its secrets.
New York City is full of sections that each have their own unique flavor and vibe. In THE CALLING vampire series (now the REBORN series), I’ve tried to show you neighborhoods like Spanish Harlem, Midtown, Central Park West, the Lower East Side and Tribeca. All unique and filled with unique histories. For example, Tribeca (which is an acronym for Trianble Below Canal) was one of New York’s first residential areas, but also developed many commercial areas in later years. After 9-11, it was impacted heavily, but has slowly rebounded.
Areas like Tribeca are ones you’d be likely to visit as a tourist, but then there are the other areas I’m going to show you in the books. Underground places in Central Park. The Marble Cemetary in the East Village which is the final resting place of many of New York’s more prosperous people in the early 1800s. Those residents are in underground vaults (although I took some liberties with the look of the place and how to get underground in DIE FOR LOVE (December 2013).
There are lots of other places that you’ll see in the books as Diana and Ryder seek love and peace together and as they are drawn into one action-packed suspense after another.
Thanks again for letting me visit! I’d love to hear from you and your fans about some of the interesting places in your city or town!
